Huron Kinloss is celebrating a $40,754 boost to their Potable Water Program.
The federal government program was introduced back in February of 2008.
Itprovides financial support to communities, like Huron-Kinloss, where they’ve uggled with costs for water projects.
Local MP Ben Lobb — who announced the funding — says they’re trying to recognize the challenges municipalities face trying to meet new provincial regulatory changes.
Huron Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says this funding will help ease the pressure they have faced as a result of the provincial regulatory changes.
