An east side Owen Sound property is the scene of another search by a number of OPP officers looking for a link to the disappearance of Lisa Maas in 1988.
OPP Constable Steve Starr tells Bayshore Broadcasting News that a rather large team of officers searching the property on 3rd Avenue East after an earlier search last month by ground penetrating radar.
The OPP CIB Unsolved Homicide Investigation Team will be assisted with todays search by members of the OPP Urban Search and Rescue Unit and an OPP Forensic Identification Unit.
The investigation to date, currently under the direction of OPP CIB Detective Inspector Ian Maule, has involved numerous searches and hundreds of interviews.
Starr stresses the current owners of the property are not persons of interest in this case, and in fact have gone out of their way to assist police in this matter.
He says police will remain at the site as long as it is necessary.
Todays search is part of an extensive ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Lisa Maas who was 22 years old when she was last seen in the former Sydenham Township on July 17, 1988.
Her vehicle, a green 1976 Plymouth, was found stuck on an unimproved township road allowance near the Annan two days later
