Don’t like your new phone book?
Give it to MPP Bill Murdoch.
The Bruce Grey Owen Sound Conservative doesn’t like the fact all of the residential listings are now lumped together — instead of community by community.
Murdoch says it’s like big government — he says big business doesn’t care about rural Ontario and is saving money on the back of rural residents.
Murdoch says people are welcome to drop off their phone books at his Owen Sound constituency office by the end of the business day on Friday.
Then before he heads to Queen’s Park on Monday — Murdoch will drop off the phone books for recycling at the Owen Sound waste transfer station at 10 AM.
Murdoch says he has already collected over 150 phone books after talking about the idea on the CFOS Open Line.
Murdoch hopes Bell Canada will get the message — and go back to the old way of doing things — but he doubts it.
Murdoch is still using his old phone book to look up local numbers.
