About four thousand high school students in Grey Bruce will benefit from a new health and safety program.
The provincial government has announced a grant of 27 thousand dollars for the SmartRisk program.
Beginning in November, SmartRisk will teach both students and teachers about interactive health and safety activities that prevent injuries.
Marianne Batte of the Formosa Lions Club says the program will encourage students to think before they act and deliver an impacting message about safety awareness.
As part of the program an award winning one hour No Regrets Live show, which includes a live presentation by an injury survivor, will be presented to five area high schools starting late October.
