It’s the antique roadshow — Bruce Children are Special Foundation style.
A very unique fundraiser running Sunday at the Walkerton Agricultural Building.
Administrator for the Bruce Children are Special Foundation Cherie Borho says the idea stems from the “Antique Roadshow” PBS show.
Basically you haul in any piece of antiquity you have, from an old tea pot to an old vase, and there will be an appraiser on site to give you a low down on the value.
Each appraisal comes for a donation of five-dollars to the foundation.
The appraiser on sight is official although there will be no written appraisals done.
This is the 3rd year for the event and Borho hopes the turn out is strong as this is a very unique way of making funds for the foundation.
Borho adds all funds raised stay within the foundation that helps out with the needs of underpriviledged children in Bruce County with the Children’s Aid Society.
The event runs at the Walkerton Agricultural Building from 11 AM until 3 PM.
