The Walkerton Fire Department wants to purchase a second Thermal Imaging Camera and needs your help.
The fire department is hosting a Fish Fry today from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Deputy Fire Chief Glenn Wilhelm says his fire crew have been brushing up on their culinary skills all week long and are ready to serve the masses.
All money raised will go towards the purchase of a Thermal Imaging Camera.
He says the life saving technology is a very useful tool when fighting fires.
The infra-red technology enables fire fighters to see through smoke and darkness, find victims, pinpoint fires and recognize structural dangers.
The Fire Department needs to raise 8 thousand dollars to purchase the thermal imaging camera.
Tickets for the Fish Fry — which is being held at the Walkerton fire hall — are 12 dollars for adults and 6 dollars for children.
