Families in need a winter coat can take advantage of the Coats 4 Kids event in Hanover.
It is being held at the Hanover Masonic Lodge from 9 AM until 1 PM on Saturday.
Organizer Marg Kerr says there are about 300 coats to chose from — along with hats, mittens and scarves.
The event is not just for kids — Kerr says they have coats for infants to adults.
All the coats have been donated and are being handed out free of charge for families in need.
Kerr notes the Hanover area has been hit hard over the last few years with layoffs and factory closures.
Last year — over 200 coats were distributed.
And since they have 300 coats this year — Kerr hopes no one will leave empty handed tomorrow.
The Coats 4 Kids program is run by Kerr, her husband Larry and friend Amy Traverse as an outreach for those in need.
