A special memorial dedication is being held in Colpoy’s Bay.
South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Gwen Gilbert says the memorial is a remembrance for the deceased who were affected by the December 2008 slope collapse at Edgehill Cemetery.
Gilbert says just after Christmas that year after unusually warm weather and heavy rain resulted in the collapse of the oldest section of the cemetery.
She says some 40 graves tumbled down a hillside, in some cases exposing some remains.
Gilbert says the site has been restored and a commemorative plaque has been put in place.
This memorial dedication takes place today at 1 PM at the cemetery and all are invited to take part in the service.
