Grey County OPP are investigating a case of animal cruelty.
Witnesses report seeing two people beat and kick a dog on the side of concession 1 in Sydenham Township just before noon on Tuesday.
Police say the suspects were driving a light blue vehicle — possibly an SUV.
According to reports — they motioned over a dog and a female started beating the dog with a leather strap or belt.
And then a man got out of the vehicle and began kicking the motionless animal.
Police say the couple continued the abuse until a bystander yelled out that police were being called.
The dog was loaded into their vehicle and they left travelling along Concession 1 towards Walters Falls.
The dog is described as a German Shepherd, around a year old, with a wide blue collar and quite friendly.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
