Public safety will be the focus of tonight’s all candidates meeting in Owen Sound.
The City’s Police and Fire Associations are hosting the meeting at 7:30 PM at the Roxy Theatre.
Each candidate will answer at least one question from each organization.
There will also be a focus each department’s affect on the municipal tax base.
Both the police and fire budgets have come under scrutiny in the last year and a consultant is being hired to review the police budget.
There are 20 people running for Council — including four candidates for Mayor — incumbent Ruth Lovell Stanners, Councillor Deb Haswell and community advocates Ray Botten and Jerry Bates.
