The Bluewater District School Board has a new Director of Education.
Although he’s visited the Bluewater education centre in Chesley many times, today John Bryant visits as the new Director of Education, replacing Mary Ann Alton.
Bryant comes from the Waterloo Region District School Board where he was executive superintendent of human resources and organization development.
Bryant has a job ahead of him.
Many parents and indeed some trustees have accused administration in the past of not being transparent in their education decisions and in some cases being dictatorial.
Although there has been some improvement in that issue, Bryant will be expected to take the administration to the next level.
Bryan has 30 years experience in public education as he starts his full time job with the Bluewater District School Board today.
