Hanover’s books look good.
Hanover is in great fiscal shape — that from BDO Dunwoody Accountant John Hunt.
He says the town ended the year with a 9 million dollar surplus.
Net financial assets increased by 2.9 million dollars, long term debt was reduced by 473 thousand dollars and the reserve funds increased by over 3 million dollars
The town’s overall accumulated surplus sits at 59 million dollars, but Hunt says that number can be misleading.
Hunt says the 59 million dollar includes all the assets and infrastructure the town has acquired since it formed as a town in 1904.
Hunt adds Hanover is in strong financial shape and credits this economic health to sound prudent management.
