A young Owen Sound man was taken to hospital after a beating outside a hotel in the downtown area.
It happened just before 2 AM Saturday in the 200 block of 10th Street East.
Owen Sound Police say the 25 year old victim was punched and knocked to the ground by a complete stranger.
When he landed on the ground, the suspect pummelled him until he was pulled off by a bystander.
Moments later, Police arrived on the scene and arrested a 22 year old Kincardine man.
He was released from custody and will be in court in November on a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
Owen Sound Police say the victim — who was cold-cocked in the attack –suffered a broken cheek bone and needed 30 stitches.
