Good news for the Bruce Grey Catholic School Board.
Enrolment numbers for the board are up.
Superintendent of Business Cathy Colton says student enrolment is up 3 per cent over the projected numbers.
That works out to be 93 more students than expected.
At the secondary level — student enrolment is 3.6 per cent higher than anticipated and at the elementary level its 2.1 per cent higher.
When compared to last year’s enrolment numbers — there is little change — with just 0.1 per cent overall drop or a decline of 3 students.
Colton notes after years of declining enrolment — she says it looks as though the numbers are finally beginning to level out.
Colton notes healthy enrolment is important since school funding is tied directly to student enrolment.
