A Brockton man will appear in court next month after being arrested for a serious assault in Walkerton.
The incident happened following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian over the weekend.
A car travelling through Walkerton near Victoria and Napier struck a female pedestrian around 10 PM Saturday.
The teen received minor injuries and the driver of the vehicle got out to check on her.
As he exited the car, another pedestrian who had been walking with the girl approached the driver and began punching and stabbing him.
The driver managed to break free and leave the scene – ending up at Walkerton Hospital where he was treated and released the next day.
A 22 year old man is facing charges of Aggravated Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Police are still looking for the assault weapon.
