Hot on the heels of a two doctor announcement for Emergency Room work at Saugeen Memorial Hospital, comes more good news from Bruce Power.
Saugeen Shores and Kincardine are in line for more money for doctor enticements.
Doctor recruitment committee spokesperson James Scognack told Saugeen Shores Council last night that the town and Kincardine will get 135 thousand dollars each from Bruce Power.
Presenting a letter from Bruce Power President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne, Scognack said the money is to help new physicians locate in either community.
He says when it comes to doctor prospects for either community, they have compiled a list exceeding 500 names.
Scognack says there has been a growing interest fom some doctors to locate in Saugeen Shores and Kincardine and they’re hoping this monetary contribution to the community will help meet those unique needs.
The money will be available this coming January.
