The federal government has announced funding to protect species at risk on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Bruce Resource Stewardship Network is getting 46 thousand dollars.
Co-ordinator Craig Todd says the money will go towards their Thistle Dune Grasslands project.
Todd says they want to develop more strategies the further reduce the destruction of the dune systems and educate beachgoers about the problem.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller says the funding will help enrich our land and protect our sensitive species.
