The vote on the long gun registry is set to be a close one.
After months of debating the issue Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb says at this point they’ve made there case and will just have to wait and see where the chips fall later tonight.
Parliament heard the final debate late last night on the long gun registry and will vote just after 5:45 PM Wednesday.
Lobb told Bayshore Broadcasting News just before heading into the National Caucus the party is standing firmly behind their bill til the last hour.
100 million dollars is spent annually on the bill between the Federal and Provincial governments, Lobb says that money would be better spent on the front line workers.
The Liberals and Bloc Quebecois say they will vote in favour of the motion to save the registry — while the Conservatives will oppose it.
