Things are heating up in the municipal elections in our area.
The nomination deadline has passed, and Bayshore Broadcasting News wanted to know if you’ve been paying attention to the municipal elections so far.
One woman told us that she isn’t too concerned with the election right now, but also said she’ll start becoming more involved once it gets closer to the October 25th election.
Another woman said it’s important to pay attention, because it’s your community, and the election affects you.
One man told us that it’s really important for people to follow the local election, but he just happens to be doing the opposite of that so far this year.
A woman told us that they get most of their facts on local politicians by watching the local news, and then base their decisions off of that.
And another woman says that it’s important if your interested — but she was quick to add that she isn’t interested, because you can’t do anything anyway, because politicians will do what they want anyway.
