Motorcycles are taking to the roads of Grey and Bruce to raise awareness for Cancer today.
The Bluewater Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society holding it’s second BEAT ride starting at Montanas in Owen Sound.
Jenn Wright, the Fundraising Coordinator says the event comes off of last years ride that was organized by the Blue Knights Riding Club.
BEAT stands for Bikers Ending All Types of Cancer.
Wright says the ride tours the bikers through Grey county and will pick up a different puzzle piece at each stop along the way.
She says there are sights and events at each stop with shopping and restaurants.
The event raised five-thousand dollars last year and Wright hopes to raise 10 to 15 this year.
Wright says the check in is at 9 AM at Montanas in Owen Sound and the ride should take the greater part of the day, ending back at Montana’s for dinner.
Registration is $25 for the driver and $15 for the additional rider.
