The Saugeen Shores Police Service is looking for public input on their three-year strategic plan.
Chief Dan Rivett says every three years they have to come up with a new business plan required under the Police Act.
Rivett says they’re looking for input as to what the community thinks is a priority, and to determine which areas are thought to be underserviced.
The survey asks questions about which areas you don’t feel safe in the community, or programs you’d like to see offered by the police.
Rivett says they’re hoping to compile the report and submit it to the Police Services Board before the end of the year.
He adds there will also be a community group set up in the fall to uncover more information.
Surveys can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce offices or post offices in both Southampton and Port Elgin, the Saugeen Shores Municipal office and the police office.
It is also e-mailed out by the Southampton Ratepayers’ Association and the Beachers.
Rivett is hoping to get the feedback by September 10th.
