Police have now released the man of the man killed in a crash on Highway 6 south of Varney.
The driver of the car who was killed has been identified as 42 year old Donald Kenny of Southgate.
He died at the scene after a loaded dump truck collided with his vehicle just before 2 PM Monday in a construction zone.
Grey County OPP say the truck veered into the southbound lane and hit the car — and both vehicles came to rest at the entrance of a nearby business.
The 36 year old truck driver from Gowanstown, Charles Henderson, was not hurt.
The highway was closed for seven hours for the OPP investigation which continues.
The Ministry of Transportation is also investigating the heavy truck.
