There is a manhunt in the Elmwood area.
South Bruce OPP are looking for man who allegedly assaulted a woman with a weapon in a cornfield along concession 8 in Brant Township around 10:30 AM on Monday.
Police say a man walked up to the woman, pushed her to the ground and assaulted her until she kicked him and got away.
The OPP helicopter and Emergency Response Team are involved in the search — and checkpoints have been set up in the area.
The man is described as being about 30 years old with reddish brown hair — he was wearing a red long sleeved shirt with writing on the sleeve and torn blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
