It looks like South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Gwen Gilbert will be in a horse race to hold onto her office.
With just over two weeks to go before nominations close for municipal council, four people are running for Mayor.
Gwen Gilbert filed her nomination papers on Wednesday and three men are also running for mayor of South Bruce Peninsula.
John Close and Len Chabot both filed earlier for Mayor in the October 25th vote.
Chabot is a school bus driver and karaoke host while Close is a former councillor.
And on Thursday — local businessman Paul Deacon filed nomination papers for Mayor.
Amoung South Bruce Peninsula’s wards — Ward Four has the most interest with five people in the running.
Included in the group is current councillors Art King and Stan Hoath.
Also running in Ward Four are Chris Thomas, Stephen Nusko, and Matthew Standen.
