Another successful year for Saugeen Shores’ Relay for Life.
This year’s event raised over 167 thousand dollars.
48 teams participated in the second annual event to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Over 334 thousand dollars total has been raised for the two years the event has been running, and Marketing Chair Mini Jacques says that is a big accomplishment for a small community.
The efforts were boosted by the purchase of 13 hundred luminaries.
Next year’s event is set for July 8th and 9th.
In all, there were 560 participants, and 103 cancer survivors walked the Victory Lap.
