It is just about that time again — time for Port Elgin’s award winning Pumpkinfest.
With just over a month to go before the popular festival kicks off, organizers are in high gear preparing for this years edition.
The kids, the parents, the grandparents, and even the dog can have fun at this years Pumpkinfest.
Events Coordinator Sally Hunt gave an update on the festival at Mondays Saugeen Shores Council meeting.
She says thanks to a 65 thousand dollar Celebrate Ontario grant, they are able to create a unique theme this year – “Challenge the Pro.”
You can challenge a real stock racer in a simulated race.
The Krusher Stunt Team and Sports Clinic is coming in from Montreal to put on BMX, inline and flat board skating shows and clinics.
A pair of sumo wrestling suits, a gladiator jousting arena and a 13 foot velcro wall have been purchased for the Inflatable Games.
Even pooch can learn a thing or two – the SuperDogs will be putting on a trick and stunt show – which will include a training portion for your dog.
And of course, there’s also the giant pumpkins and vegetables.
All the fun and excitement gets started on October 1st.
