The outpouring of support from the community for a young Durham boy continues today.
A Sauble Beach business is doing what it can to help a 7 year old boy from Durham who is fighting stage 4 cancer.
Martell’s Mini Melts on Main Street South will donate a portion of sales today to help Jake Schafer and his family.
Schafer is battling neuroblatsoma cancer — after only being diagnosed with the disease in June.
The family has not only been dealing with the terrible news — but now is only dealing with a mountain of costs in medical and travel expenses.
The Martell’s hope today’s gesture will help the family — not only financially — but emotionally.
The business opens at 10 AM today.
More community fundraisers are planned to help Jake Schafer and his family.
