Owen Sound merchants are optimistic this summer is turning out to be a lot better than last summer for business.
The Downtown Improvement Area is continuing with it’s second annual Taste of the Sound promotional contest, which began June 1st.
DIA Manager Irwin Seidman says residents and visitors can still pick up a Taste of the Sound brochure at any downtown store listing more than 30 restaurants, cafes and food stores.
Seidman says at the bottom of that brochure is a ballot that can be deposited at any downtown eatery to win 100 dollar Downtown Owen Sound gift certificate.
The promotion runs right through until Thanksgiving weekend.
Seidman says this promotion along with all the other events happening in the Scenic City the rest of the summer should keep things busy.
