Owen Sound Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred at a strip mall on the west side overnight.
Emergency services attended a west side business at approximately 12.30 AM Monday after 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call from a man advising he had been assaulted, possibly with a knife.
A 35-year old businessman had been working late and while taking out the trash he interrupted a person crouched near a door behind the building.
As he encountered the prowler, he was pushed to the ground by a second suspect concealed nearby and cut with an edged weapon of some sort.
His attackers fled southbound across a neighbouring sports field.
Police arrived within seconds of receiving the call; however, their search for the suspects yielded negative results.
The prowler is described as male, fair complexion, mid 20s, 5 food 7 inches in height, average build, unshaven, with greasy dark ear length hair and a goatee.
He was wearing a dark coloured golf shirt and shorts.
