Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller also want’s tough action on suspected terrorists and human smugglers.
On Thursday, Public Safety Minister Vic Toews promised to act if there are any terrorists or human smugglers found aboard a ship trying to dock on Vancouver Island.
The cargo ship is carrying hundreds of migrants believed to be Tamils from Sri Lanka.
Miller suspects a number aboard are actually terrorists trying seek refuge in Canada.
He would have liked to see the boat turned around.
Like Public Safety Minister Toews, Miller want’s to send a message to the world that us Canadians are nice, but will not be taken advantage of.
The ship is believed to be carrying 490 Tamil migrants.
