The Hanover and District Hospital is breathing a big sigh of relief.
After six long months — the second C-Difficile outbreak at the Hospital and District hospital is now over.
Hospital CEO Katrina Wilson calls this a great relief for hospital staff.
She commends staff for their tireless work battling the super bug.
Wilson says the c-difficile outbreak has made a lasting and positive impact on how the hospital handles infection control and cleaning practices.
She says the hospital will never go back to the old way of doing things again.
Since December — the Hanover Hospital has suffered through two c-difficile outbreaks which included 17 cases and 9 deaths.
C. Difficile was considered a contributing factor in the deaths.
