A retired police officer from Owen Sound has died.
The body of 59 year old David Conley was found by a police colleague on Christian Island, where he had been working for the Anishnabek Police Service.
Conley was born and raised in Owen Sound and worked for 33 years with the City Police Service until he retired in 2005.
An autopsy is being done in Barrie to determine the exact cause of death.
A funeral for Conley will be held Friday morning at 11 AM in Owen Sound.
