Dog’s are strutting their stuff at Harrison Park in Owen Sound this week.
The Grey Bruce Kennel and Obedience Club is holding their Five Championship Conformation Dog Shows, Rally Obedience and Agility Trials.
President Mary Morris says after 36 years the event is once again growing.
Morris does admit their’s been a few slow years but says the past 3 years have been well attended.
Vendor Kevin Erkhart from Kitchener has noticed the event’s resurgence as well.
The Club has tried something new this year.
Morris says because it’s considered a somewhat remote show and they don’t get the big draws with the mid-week event — they have limited each show to 175 dogs.
Another new move the Club has done this year is fly in a judge from Brazil.
Morris says they did that to give their dog handlers a judge they haven’t seen before — which she add’s helps boost attendance.
The three day dog show wraps up Thursday at Harrison Park.
