Six of seven members of Georgian Bluffs council have filed their paperwork for the 2010 municipal election.
All six will again contest the positions they currently hold – Mayor Alan Barfoot, Deputy Mayor Dwight Burley, and councillors Carol Barfoot, Judy Gay, Ryan Thompson and Tom Wiley.
They’re the only people to have put their name forward thus far in Georgian Bluffs, where 18 people ran in the 2006 election.
Four years ago, there were two-man contests for mayor and for deputy mayor, while 14 candidates stood for five councillor vacancies.
The seventh current member of council, Bob Lennox, has not announced whether he will seek another term.
The nomination deadline is September 10th.
