Fairy Lake will be glowing tonight.
The Southampton Art Gallery is putting on the eighth annual Lantern Festival.
Gallery Director Aly Boltman says the event is free to the public.
It ties in with the Saugeen Shores Summer music series that goes every Sunday night, but Boltman says for tonight, the Art Gallery has brought in its own entertainment.
Acts will include fire twirler Vita the Twirling Diva and folk trio Rare Indeed.
There will also be face painting and ice cream for sale.
Boltman says Harvey Brush, a bagpiper from Sauble Beach, will lead the children around the lake with their lanterns.
There have already been three lantern workshops this summer, but Boltman says kids can still make one if they haven’t done so already at a workshop at Fairy Lake at 6 PM.
She says artists and teachers from the gallery and school have also painted lanterns that will be on sale.
All of those proceeds will go directly to the Southampton Art Society, which is a not-for-profit charity.
The festival kicks off at 7 PM.
