The RCMP came to the Keady Farmers Market — but they weren’t buying anything.
In an RCMP news release, they reveal they seized hundreds of counterfeit goods being sold at the market this week.
Officers went to Keady after receiving tips that counterfeit retail products were being sold by various venders.
While there, the Officers spotted and seized over three hundred counterfeit good.
Most of the items were phoney copies of name brand wallets, jewelry, sunglasses, and purses.
The RCMP say the products bearing copyrighted names, logos, or labels, and which are sold without the authorization of the legal copyright owner are in violation of the Copyright Act.
Anyone with info on counterfeit goods is encouraged to call the RCMP Kitchener Detachment or Crime Stoppers .
