Wheres the beef – it’s in Paisley this weekend.
It is the 35th annual Beef Fest in Paisley starting today at 5 PM with the opening of the beer garden with live entertainment at Allen Gammie Park.
President Kevin Thomson says it is their best fest yet with more events on Saturday for kids.
Thomson says there is lots of kids activities of with a reptile show, cotton candy, pony rides and more.
Thomson says one of the highlights is the steak eating contest where individuals try to consume a 40 ounce steak as quickly as they can.
Also popular is the Mr. Beautiful contest where men try to find out — as Thomson comments — who is the prettiest.
The event starts at 7 PM at the Palace with parental discretion strongly advised.
Thomson says it is all in good fun.
Thomson says there will be Bruce County beef on a bun offered all weekend.
Country music will also be highlighted on Saturday at the legion.
A beef dinner on Saturday night at the Palace from 5 PM until 7 PM.
An antique car show will be the highlight on Sunday in the town.
And the events wraps on Sunday night with an open air dance at Allen Gammie Park.
