It’s not Central Park in New York, but Harrison Park in Owen Sound and could soon get the same reputation.
Last night around 11.30 PM — a man and woman walking in the park, when they were accosted by a lone male near the bridge at the north end of the park.
That individual then proceeded to punch and kick the other man and then stole his wallet and watch.
The woman was not injured.
Police say the suspect is described as 19 to 20 years of age with a fair complexion; 5 foot 8 with a stocky build, short brush cut dirty blond hair and clean shaven.
The victim was transported to hospital and received treatment for his injuries.
