It’s now a horse race to seek the Progressive Conservative nomination for the Bruce Grey Owen Sound Riding.
South Bruce Peninsula Councillor Mark Wunderlich has announced he is in the race to become the candidate to run for the Conservatives in the next Provincial election.
Last week, Durham area raw milk farmer Michael Schmidt announced he too was seeking the nod.
Wunderlich says the past seven years of a Liberal Government have resulted in Ontario being turned into a have not province.
He says believes in this region and its time for a change to ensure that Grey Bruce grows and prospers.
Wunderlich also says its time for the Province to give back more control to municipalities and let the local politicians look after local issues.
As for whether he will be a maverick MPP like Bill Murdoch, Wunderlich says while he shares the philosophy of the Progressive Conservative Party, he wont let that get in the way of speaking his mind and defending his constituents.
He says its time the government concentrate on Health Care, Education and Infrastructure in this area.
Wunderlich also wants the provincial gas tax money spent on projects in rural Ontario, not the Toronto Transit commission.
The nomination meeting to replace Bill Murdoch as the Conservative candidate for Bruce Grey Owen Sound will be held on October 6th.
