June was another strong month for real estate sales in the area.
President of the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound, Karen Cox says there were 232 homes sold last month, which is up seven per cent from the same month a year ago.
Average prices in the area were just under 223 thousand dollars which is the third highest on record.
The average price is also up about 8 per cent from 2009.
In total, the value of all homes sold in June was 51.7 million dollars which is up 15 per cent in a year.
Cox says the number of new home listings in June actually fell 8 percent from a year ago so while there is choice, the number of homes for sale is somewhat limited compared to in the spring.
