Sometimes it takes a little magic to get kids into the books.
The Bruce County Libraries are bringing in Mr. Oh’s Jungle Adventure Magic Show today.
Magician Owen Anderson says he’ll be doing a performance at 2 PM in Chesley’s Bijoux Theatre near the library.
Anderson says it helps promote literacy through the library, because the afternoon show is put on for the kids in the summer reading club.
But the whole family can enjoy his antics.
Anderson will also put on a 6:30 PM performance upstairs at the Southampton Town Hall.
He says he’s excited to do another show at the hall.
Anderson performed there last year for the libraries and said it drew crowds of all ages, and it’s a fun night out for the family.
Tickets are $6.50 each for the evening show and are available at both the Port Elgin and Southampton library branches.
