Hanover’s massive mural at the Heritage Square is looking great again.
The aging mural has been brought back to its original glory.
Mayor Kathi Maskell says the mural was showing its age and it was time to freshen it up.
The mural depicts Hanover’s proud heritage of industry, progress and recreation.
It features the first Canadian to win a Heavy Weight World Champion title Tommy Burns who grew up just outside of Hanover.
It also features the World War II Mosquito Bomber, the wings were manufactured in Hanover.
Maskell says the 11 thousand dollar coat of paint is just one of the ways the town is trying to spruce up the downtown.
Maskell would someday like to see another mural depicting Hanovers proud heritage with the Brownies.
Hanover was the site of the first Brownie Pack to ever registered in Canada in 1920 by Mrs. W.M. Ruttle.
