A frightening day at Goble’s Grove south of Port Elgin.
Saugeen Shores Police Chief Dan Rivett tells Bayshore Broadcasting News that they received reports of a possible drowning around Noon Saturday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene where they found a 38 year old woman in distress.
Rivett says she’d been hit in the neck by something and was knocked unconscious.
Rivett says a volunteer firefighter was the first on the scene and tended to the woman before she was taken by ambulance to hospital.
Her condition is not known — but Rivett says it was a bad situation that could have turned out much worse.
