A 35 year old man of no fixed address has been arrested in Owen Sound on charges of Assault and Threatening.
About 9:45 PM on Friday, police were called to the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue East.
Police found two people involved in a dispute, with one man still holding onto a weapon that he had struck another man with.
Investigation shows a local man came to the house and accused the other of incidents he believed happened in the past.
The suspect then struck the other man with a shovel handle which was returned by a punch from the other man.
The accuser threatened to burn down the residence and continued his tirade in police presence.
The 35 year old man of no fixed address was arrested by police and will face a bail hearing on numerous charges.
The other man involved did not require medical attention.
