Good news for residents at Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit has lifted the Do Not Use Water Advisory for residents who get water from Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake.
The advisory was issued more than a month ago after blue green algae was found in the water.
The latest samples taken by the Ministry of Environment show trace amounts of the toxin in the water — but they were well below standards for drinking water.
Officials believe the recent cool weather helped reduce the blue green algae.
But they warn the toxins could return if we experience an unseasonably warm fall.
Residents at Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake are asked to call the Ministry of Environment if they see indications of an algae bloom.
