A man is now facing charges of second degree murder and attempted murder after two women were hit with a tractor in Chatsworth Township.
Grey County OPP identify the suspect as 48 year old Laurie Porteous of Chatsworth Township.
Police say the women were struck by the tractor at a farm on Highway 6 and 10 just north of the village of Chatsworth around 4 PM Friday.
26 year old Sareena Denesiuk of Adjala-Tosorontio Township died from her injuries.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for today in London.
27 year old April Smith of Chatsworth Township sustained life threatening injuries and remains in serious condition at a London hospital.
Porteous remains is custody pending a bail hearing in Owen Sound tomorrow.
Grey County OPP can say with confidence that this is an isolated incident.
The investigation continues under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Inspector Scott Thomson.
