A temporary replacement has been named as the Director of Education for the Bluewater school board.
Alana Murray, Superintendent of Secondary Education, has been given the position of Interim Director.
Murray has been the Superintendent of Secondary Education for eight years.
Board Chair Jennifer Yenssen says her knowledge of our system and Ministry of Education expectations makes her an excellent choice.
Yenssen says the search goes on for a replacement for Mary Anne Alton, who announced her retirement two weeks ago.
The Chair of the boarrd admits some of their more vocal critics may question the appointment, but Yenssen says that Murray has the support of the entire board.
Murray will continue as Interim Director of the Bluewater board until a permanent replacement is hired, likely in October.
