Hundreds of raiders will be descending on Owen Sound this weekend to take part in the West Hill Secondary School 50th anniversary reunion.
One of the organizers of the event, Barry Brick says they already have more than 600 people pre registered to attend the weekend event which kicks off at the Bayshore Friday evening at 8 pm.
Brick says that is double blue night, an evening where people can meet and greet friends and former students and teachers from the past 50 years.
He says Saturday (tomorrow) will be a very busy day starting off with a pancake breakfast in the morning, and will feature alumni soccer and basketball games.
Brick says the big attraction will be the so called half decade rooms that will be filled with pictures, videos and other memorabilia from 50 years of West Hills history.
He says they have collected thousands of pictures from yearbooks and elsewhere and will be projecting those photos on several big screens at the School at at the evening dance.
Brick says the highlight for many of the alumni will be the reunion assembly Saturday afternoon and the Raider’s reunion dance Saturday night begriming at 8 pm
The reunion weekend will wrap up Sunday morning with a family church service in the West Gym of West Hill.
