A regular Thursday night staple in Southampton will not happen this week.
It’s because tomorrow’s weekly cruise night has been bumped because of the fireworks display tomorrow at the foot of High Street, to celebrate Canada Day.
Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation spokesperson Trevor Wardrop for this week only, Cruise Night will be held on Friday, July 2nd.
Wardrop invites everyone to see the classic and antique cars that will be on display, weather permitting.
He says the past couple of weeks have been busy with over 100 cars out a couple of weeks ago.
It was a healthy 50-50 draw so early in the season as well.
Someone walked away with over 500 dollars.
The money raised during the weekly cruise nights goes to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation where it is used to buy equipment for the local hospital.
