Four days of fun starts today in Allenford!
The village is celebrating Homecoming 2010, the 100th anniversary for both Aiken Brothers Hardware and the Allenford Curling Club and of course, Canada Day…
Today through Sunday — there are great events for everyone – to recognize the milestone – and it all starts with tonight’s fireworks.
Tomorrow, opening ceremonies will be held, and residents can check out heritage displays, photos and mementos of the past.
Saturday, Allenford challenges the Tara Old Time Rivals in a 3-pitch tournament.
While kids can take part in face painting and pony rides.
There is also a bike parade, heritage walking tour, BBQ and dance!
Celebrations wrap up Sunday – with a pancake breakfast, and a classic car, tractor and bike show, and Allenford’s Got Talent at the ball diamonds.
